Pronounced ‘ver-may’, the gold-plating technique we're known for (as the pioneers of demi-fine) starts out as a sterling silver base which is electroplated with a thick 2.5 microns of solid gold.
An alloy made of 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% copper with rhodium plating for extra durability and a high-shine finish. Our sterling silver pieces are stamped with '925' to certify their authenticity.
All of our high-quality and super durable gold-plated pieces are electroplated onto brass – with the same method as vermeil. We use a thick two microns of gold, never 'flash plating' with a minimal amount of real gold.
These pieces are plated with durable rhodium on brass, and – like the rest of our jewellery – a layer of anti-tarnish on top for a long-lasting finish.

18ct gold vermeil is a thick layer of 18ct gold over sterling silver, offering a luxurious look and long-lasting wear.

All our gold vermeil jewellery in the UK is stamped with the '925' mark to indicate the sterling silver purity. The plating process is different as well — gold vermeil is plated with a process known as ‘electrolysis’, making the jewellery very durable. All our pieces are tested by the Assay Office (which tests the purity of precious metals), as required by law.
Gold-plated jewellery, on the other hand, involves a base metal – brass in our case – which is plated with a layer of gold. It's more affordable but less durable compared to gold vermeil.
Sterling silver is extremely durable but can tarnish over time without proper care. Regular cleaning with a soft cloth will help maintain its shine.
To keep your metal jewellery looking its best, clean it with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid exposing it to water, perfumes, and chemicals to prevent tarnishing or damage.
Store your jewellery in a soft pouch or lined box, away from direct sunlight and other metals to prevent scratches or tarnishing.
Our gold, silver and solid gold pieces are made for everyone. We do recommend removing them during activities that expose them to water or chemicals to ensure longevity.
